Sein Gebiet liegt an der Grenze zwischen den Regionen Montes de M\u00e1laga und Axarqu\u00eda, in einer gemeinsamen Landschaft mit sanften H\u00fcgeln, die manchmal mit Weinbergen und Olivenhainen bedeckt sind. Aufgrund der vielen Weinberge sind auch die f\u00fcr die Landschaft der Axarqu\u00eda sehr charakteristischen \"paseros\" weit verbreitet.
