This is the original Moscatel, which was originally grown extensively in Alexandria, Egypt, and brought to Malaga by Phoenician traders 3000 years ago. Muscat of Alexandria is one of the oldest uncrossed grape varieties in the world., and the most important for commercial wine production.

The winery has more than fulfilled its objective, producing the first and best dry Muscat of Alexandria, Botani, and reviving the tradition of unfortified wines in Malaga. Our series of sweet wines, Nos. 1 to 4, are among the best in the world, and are made in the style of the internationally renowned sweet wines of Malaga from the 17th to the 19th centuries. In 2012, Nº2 Victoria became the first Spanish wine served at a Nobel Prize dinner.

A benchmark in the defence of indigenous grape varieties and old vineyards in Spain.
