Its surroundings are typical of the Axarquia region of rolling hills covered mostly with olive trees, almond trees and vines and, when not, scrub on the steeper slopes of the terrain.<br \/>\nThe village is a pretty sight when viewed from the road that climbs up from the coast and winds its way through the surrounding area.
