Although La Vi\u00f1uela is the most modern municipality in La Axarqu\u00eda, its lands were among the first to know the presence of man.<\/p>\n<p>From the Palaeolithic period, abundant traces have been found in the <strong>Llanos de Herrera and the terraces of the Guaro river<\/strong>where today the La Vi\u00f1uela reservoir is located.
