{"id":4457,"date":"2025-06-18T12:13:39","date_gmt":"2025-06-18T10:13:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/turismoaxarquiacostadelsol.com\/?post_type=que-hacer&#038;p=4457"},"modified":"2026-09-04T11:47:44","modified_gmt":"2026-09-04T09:47:44","slug":"suburb-cross","status":"publish","type":"que-hacer","link":"https:\/\/turismoaxarquiacostadelsol.com\/en\/que-hacer\/cruz-del-arrabal\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrabal Cross"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It is a small shrine, with semicircular arches on different sides, which houses a simple cross inside.<\/p>\n<p>This cross, together with the <strong>Cross of the Lamb<\/strong>, commemorate the entry into V\u00e9lez-M\u00e1laga of the Christian troops and King Ferdinand on 3 May 1487, and were part of a group of small shrines scattered throughout the town, all serving the same purpose; of these, only these two remain standing today.
