Periana is located in a mountainous setting offering spectacular views of the nearby villages and the Viñuela reservoir. It is a perfect place to enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Periana also has a peculiar crop, "the peach of Argentinian origin". More than 200 years ago, a local resident nicknamed "El Rojo" travelled to Argentina and brought back plants of this fruit, which has adapted perfectly to the subtropical climate of the area.
