Holy Week Itinerary Moclinejo

Easter Week in Moclinejo combines the seclusion of its processions with one of the most unique traditions of the Axarquía: the «Fiesta del Huerto» which is celebrated on Easter Sunday.

During the previous weeks the local youths «steal» pots and plants from the neighbours, keeping them safe until the eve of the festival, and throughout the night they turn the square into a copy of the Huerto de Los Olivos, transforming the aesthetics of the square into a spectacularly colourful stage.

The locality of Moclinejo is known as the ‘Gateway’ to the Raisin Route in the Axarquia-Costa del Sol region of Malaga.

The winery Muñoz Cabrera and the Segovia Lobillo exhibition hall keep their doors open to give a wide vision of the hard work in the countryside and its relationship with the vineyards through the Museum or the works on display.
