Muslim Route

On this fabulous route called “The Muslim Route” You’ll discover Comares on a guided tour following a unique trail of ceramic footprints on the ground. A route designed to give you a first-hand experience of the very essence of Comares visiting the main streets such as Calle del Perdón or Calle de los Arcos. You’ll also enjoy popular viewpoints such as El Turrión, Puerta del Agua, El Castillo and the 360° El Cementerio viewpoint.

You can take a stroll, letting yourself be carried along by the the maze of its streets and come across the remains of ancient Arab settlements: the remains of the Moorish wall known as “La Coracha”, Mazmúllar Hill, the Aljibe, which was declared a Historic-Artistic Monument in 1931, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación (16th century), a site of cultural interest, built in the Mudejar style.

Along the route, you will find mosaics offering brief glimpses into the history and recreations of images from the Andalusian Comares.
