The ancient farmstead of Daimalos dates back to at least the 12th century. Its Andalusian urban layout is almost unchanged. Its hamlet is arranged in a staggered layout on the slope of a hill, with streets and houses swirling around its current church (formerly a mosque) and its minaret. A hydraulic system has been preserved, consisting of the fountain and a descending irrigation channel that leads to a cistern where the water is stored for distribution to the irrigated terraces.
