The Mule Fair revives the traditional agricultural tasks that were once carried out with the help of this animal, highlighting the rural heritage of the municipality.
During the festival, there are mule shows, shoeing demonstrations, load-carrying competitions, threshing competitions, herding competitions and races involving mules, donkeys and horses.
Every year, a ‘muleteer of honour’ is also chosen, and the day concludes with folk dancing and a tasting of the traditional ‘migas arrieras’, accompanied by local organic Muscatel wine.
Declared an Event of Tourist Interest by the Málaga Provincial Council.
