The gastronomy in the village of Cómpeta has been changing and evolving over time and with the arrival of residents from various countries who have passed through and now live in the village.
The typical competeños dishes have their roots in the cultures that have passed through our town using ingredients such as wine, sultanas, almonds, honey, all of them ingredients of the competeños fields. Among the rich gastronomy we can highlight tasty dishes such as Las Migas, El Potaje de Hinojos, La Calabaza Frita, El Pollo al Vino de Cómpeta, etc. and a very special mention must be made of the muscatel grapes, sultanas and wine and our sweets, Los Roscos de Vino de Cómpeta, Las Tortas de Aceite and Los Pestiños. The culinary offer of the numerous bars and restaurants in the village includes these typical dishes and others with a more international character.
