Alfarnate is a town full of charm and corners with history that will transport you to another era. The town centre is divided in two by the Palancar Stream. A village which, due to its location, was the residence of bandits who attacked the caravans travelling from Granada to Málaga. Alfarnate is included in the Oil and Mountains Route, comprising those villages whose main product is olive oil of the ‘Verdial’ variety. It forms part of the Network of Spain’s Magical Towns since 2018.
