Benamocarra Holy Week Itinerary

The most eagerly awaited day of Holy Week in this Axarquia town is Good Friday with the Solemn procession of the Santísimo Cristo de la Salud (Holy Christ of Health) accompanied by the Benamocarra music band.

The residents of Benamocarra are taking advantage of the celebration of the Easter Sunday to leave behind the seclusion of Holy Week and go to the countryside to peel the turkey. It is a traditional festivity where people used to go to the countryside to look for a partner.
