Landscape of Almáchar

Almáchar is located on a hill between the rivers of El Borge and Almáchar, in the Montes de la Axarquía. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cereals, it stretches from the hill of the river Almáchar to the Vallejo peak. The landscape is dotted with farmhouses and grape drying sheds, as well as vegetable, citrus and fruit orchards. One of the best views of the village is obtained from the square, with views towards El Borge.
