Landscape of Moclinejo

The village of Moclinejo sits on a small hill on the Piedras Blancas hill overlooking the valley of the river Benagalbón. Its surroundings are typical of the Axarquia region of rolling hills covered mostly with olive trees, almond trees and vines and, when not, scrub on the steeper slopes of the terrain.
The village is a pretty sight when viewed from the road that climbs up from the coast and winds its way through the surrounding area. From some parts of the village you can see all the way to the coast along the corridor leaving the Benagalbón valley.
