Landscape of Periana

Periana, in the Axarquia region, is noted for its mountainous landscape, with gentle hills, ravines and the imposing Sierra de Alhama. From the Puerto del Sol, you can enjoy panoramic views of the region, surrounded by holm oaks and olive groves. The area is famous for its agricultural productivity, especially fruit trees such as peach, orange and lemon trees. In addition, the presence of water and a favourable climate have favoured human settlement since prehistoric times, with important Neolithic and Bronze Age sites, such as Cerro de Alcolea and Cerro de El Fuerte.
