The proximity to the beach marks the qualities of the Sun and Wine Route, forming a duality that is manifested in all its cultural aspects. It runs through the municipalities of Algarrobo, Sayalonga, Cómpeta, Canillas de Albaida, Torrox, Nerja and Frigiliana. The route offers the opportunity to visit wineries and taste wines. The winemaking process, despite the years and the advance of technology, is still traditional: after the grapes are harvested, the grapes are crushed and the selected musts are stored in barrels.
The most easterly route of the Axarquía, combines the best of the inland and the coast. Beautiful beaches, cliffs and coves, whitewashed villages and vineyards and imposing caves.
Route distinguished with the National Q Quality Award granted by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality and the Secretary of State.
