The Centre offers a wealth of museum and educational resources on the magical discovery behind a false wall in a house in Cútar of two handwritten books and one of the oldest Korans in existence, their contents, the materials they are made of, and other aspects of great interest such as some names of 15th-century inhabitants of Cútar. Another key figure is Muhammad al-Ŷayyār, the alfaquí (religious leader) and imam of the mosque in Cútar, who owned the books and hid them. They contain a zéjel poem that reads: “Never in the whole world / did what happened in al-Andalus happen / nor was its foundation recorded in any book. / Submission of these hearts and these souls”.
