The landscape of the Andalusian Axarquia is still recognisable in the hills covered in the green of almond trees, olive trees and vines, with streams running through and giving life to small valleys. The white architecture of the wine presses and raisin presses stands out and contrasts, offering a rich and original visual and cultural landscape, full of traditions and festivals linked to the cultivation and harvesting of grapes, and the production of sultanas, which currently enjoys international recognition as an Important System of World Agricultural Heritage (SIPAM) awarded by the FAO.
