It is located next to the remains of the old farmstead of Arenas or Arenas el Viejo and is known today as La Fuente Pintada (The Painted Fountain). This may have been the main source of supply for the primitive farmstead, which was also used to irrigate some of the adjoining terraces. From the Fuente Pintada and under Arenas el Viejo runs a stream which has a wide use of its waters, with ditches, water channels, fountains, cisterns and paved gullies to avoid the dragging of land in times of heavy rains.
