Almayate Beach

The town of Almayate, once the main farmhouse of the Nasrid period, has an extensive beach that occupies one of the few remaining unspoilt areas on the Costa del Sol. 

Of particular note is the beach known as Playa Bajamar, a long undeveloped stretch of black sand where visitors can go nudist. It is not very busy, almost always occupied by cultivated fields, and it reaches the mouth of the river Vélez, at the gates of Torre del Mar.
