Rincón de la Victoria is the gateway to the Eastern Costa del Sol. Its location, in the southwest of the Axarquia region, allows it to enjoy a subtropical climate.
An ideal destination for holiday tourism, it has nine kilometres of beaches and a magnificent seafront promenade. But the municipality offers many other attractions for lovers of culture, history and traditions. During their stay in Rincón de la Victoria, travellers can visit the Cueva del Tesoro (Treasure Cave) and admire the emblematic Casa Fuerte de Bezmiliana. The Museum of Popular Arts, the watchtowers and the Mediterranean Archaeological Park are other places not to be missed.
This municipality, which enjoys a great commercial and tourist dynamism, is named after its main population centre, located on the coast. The coastal strip also includes La Cala del Moral and Torre de Benagalbón. Inland, five kilometres from Rincón de la Victoria, lies Benagalbón. In this locality stands the church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria and some of the most traditional fiestas are held here.
Rincón de la Victoria is one of the six municipalities that make up the Sun and Avocado Route, whose common thread are the subtropical fruits and the magnificent sun. Mangoes, papayas, custard apples and above all avocados live in perfect harmony with the traditional crops of La Axarquía.
