Río de la Miel Tower

Description

It is located on the Río de la Miel beach, near the mouth of the Río de la Miel and the Molino de Papel. It dates back to the 16th century and today we can see the ruins of this tower, including the access opening and the half vault. It had a circular floor plan, and part of its walls are still standing, although they have not yet been demolished by the action of the sea. An important fact is that in 1944 a maquis arms depot was found inside it.
