The hermitage of San Cayetano was probably built in the 16th century.
It was dedicated to Christian worship in times of cohabitation of the Christian and Muslim religions; or perhaps it could have been dedicated to the invocation of some other saint.
The church currently houses the image of San Cayetano, an 18th century image of great sculptural value.
You can find it next to the entrance door of the Santa Catalina Church.
