Archaeological Sites of Alfarnatejo

We found the archaeological remains of the Sabar River Gorge. They are located on the outskirts of the village where we can contemplate the ruins of the old Arab castle, or in the gorge of the river Sábar, where important Neolithic remains have been found, dating back some 5,000 years.

In addition, we can find remains from the Palaeolithic to the Chalcolithic period in:

• The cave of Pela Horá
• The caves of Chamizo
• The Morronquera Cave
• The ebrigian shelter of Cortijo de la Cueva
