El Borge

Description

The gastronomy of El Borge is a traditional Andalusian cuisine with a strong influence of local products, especially its muscatel sultanas, which give a sweet and distinctive touch to many of its dishes, as well as its wines under the Denomination of Origin "Vinos de Málaga" and for being the largest producer of grape-raisins by extension of land framed within the Important World Agricultural System (SIPAM).

Among its most characteristic dishes are chicken alborgeña style, kid with garlic, ajoblanco, tomato soup and cateta salad, as well as its characteristic hornazo, a traditional dessert that is especially important on the day of San Marcos.
