Villa Antiopa, one of the best preserved Roman villas in Andalusia, is located in Torre de Benagalbón, on the shores of the Mediterranean. Intensively restored, it reveals remains from the 3rd century AD, including mosaics, ceramics and movable goods. The villa, dedicated to the Theban princess Antiopa, shows its private quarters, reception rooms, baths and storerooms. Its economy was based on garum and salted fish. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest (BIC) in 2008, it is an excellent example of integration between heritage and contemporary construction.
