In mid-September, we come across the Fiesta de la Pasa in La Viñuela, which is said to be the the town’s long-standing heritage and tradition and where the Muscat and Málaga wine, blending the village’s traditional culture with the oldest and most deeply-rooted agricultural practice in the area: vine-growing.
It is one of the municipality’s most traditional celebrations and highlights the close ties between La Viñuela with the production of raisins.
The programme includes musical performances, demonstrations of traditional crafts — such as basket weaving, blacksmithing and pottery —, traditional games, exhibitions and a fair showcasing local crafts and cuisine, with tastings of traditional specialities.
