A unique celebration of Málaga’s Christmas musical tradition. The town will be the first venue for Zambombas at El Fresquito outside Mijas, thus marking the start of a new touring phase of this event organised by the Friends of the Zambombeo Association, with the aim of bringing the pastorales and zambombas to local communities and raising the profile of this cultural heritage.
The programme will start at 8.00 pm with a parade that will set off from the passageway on Calle Carmen, beneath the Town Hall, and wind its way through the main streets of the town centre. Afterwards, at 9.30 pm, the Plaza de los Cangrejos will host the pastoral competition, in which the Iznate Parish, the Raíces Pastoral Group, Colmenarejo (Málaga), the Los Pastores del Puerto Parish (Alhaurín), the Parish of Las Lagunas de Mijas and the Pastoral Care for the Women under Protection in Nerja, who will be acting as hostess.
