The typical gastronomy of Colmenar is characterised by its Andalusian influence and local products, based especially on oil and wine. This cuisine gives rise to typical dishes such as: dishes from the mountains, migas, chickpea stew, goat, snails, etc...
It stands out for its traditional sausages such as chorizo, black pudding, pork loin, etc. And for its excellent olive oil and exquisite honey.
In confectionery, the most outstanding dishes are the homemade egg rolls and borrachuelos, as well as the desserts carne de menbrillo and Meloja (made from fruit, pumpkin and honey) and the typical and famous hornazo (egg covered in bread dough and baked in the oven).
