The Sun and Avocado Route

Duration: 5 to 7 hours

Between 75 and 80 kilometres linking Rincón de la Victoria, Macharaviaya, Iznate, Benamocarra, Benamargosa and Vélez-Málaga.

Description

It is a journey through the Axarquia region of Malaga, from the coast to the interior, where the sun and avocados are the protagonists. The subtropical fruits are, together with the magnificent sun that can be enjoyed on its coasts, the common thread of a route that leaves no one indifferent. The route is made up of the municipalities of Rincón de la Victoria, Macharaviaya, Benamocarra, Iznate, Benamargosa.

Mangoes, papayas, custard apples and, above all, avocados, coexist in perfect harmony with the traditional crops of La Axarquía. This agricultural diversity is due to the exceptional microclimate created by the mountain ranges of the Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama Natural Park. In addition, this route offers options for all tastes along the way: gastronomy, history, beaches, nature, water sports and golf.

Route distinguished with the National Q Quality Award granted by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality and the Secretary of State.
