The Antonio Gala Olive Oil Museum (Mondrón) is situated six kilometres from Periana, in the olive-growing village of Mondrón. This museum was established on the initiative of the San José Artesano Olive Growers’ Cooperative, who wished to preserve the traditional methods of olive oil production that brought fame to the village. There, you can see the old millstones dating from the middle of the last century, as well as various tools used in the harvesting and pressing of extra virgin olive oil.
The Mondrón Olive Oil Museum invites you to discover the traditional production methods of the ‘liquid gold’ which made Periana famous. The site houses old millstones and traditional farming tools. You can buy Almazara olive oil in their shop.
