This celebration pays tribute to the Victorian anchovy, one of the most iconic products of the local cuisine.
The event features food tastings, performances by verdiales groups and a cooking competition in which young chefs prepare dishes using anchovies as the main ingredient.
For three days, along the seafront promenade, visitors can sample the traditional anchovies of Vitoria, as well as a range of dishes from the region’s traditional cuisine, all accompanied by a performance from the town’s Panda de Verdiales folk group.
At the same time, a culinary competition is being held, featuring the Victoriano anchovy as the star ingredient, amongst young professional chefs from Málaga.
